On Dec 26th, the International Affairs Office held a New Year Celebration for all the foreign teaching staff in BCU to welcome the coming new year. Foreign teachers, and relative Chinese teachers from the School of Foreign Studies were invited to the celebration, to enjoy and witness the wonderful moments together.
At the beginning, the Deputy Director of the International Affairs Office Miss LI Xuemeng summarized the work in the past 2018, and extended her warmest wishes to all the teachers. Later on, the teachers shared their unforgettable and impressive memories in BCU. By listening to the stories between the foreign teachers and Chinese teachers, students, and school, all the teachers were impressed and touched by their friendship and the harmonious working atmosphere in BCU. To celebrate the new year, the celebration room was delicately decorated with ornament of Chinese characteristics, and the traditional Chinese food also provided the foreign teachers with more knowledge about Chinese food culture.
Currently, the foreign teacher family is growing bigger and stronger, with 15 foreign teachers from 9 countries working in BCU. Giving full play to the language advantages, our foreign teachers are making great contribution to the school education through joining specialty development, providing extra-curriculum activities, and working hard on international cooperation programs. Meanwhile, the International Affairs Office attaches great significance to the individual development and local cultural experience of foreign teachers, and also provides all kinds of support to them. We encourage foreign teachers to actively participate in international conferences and seminars in their spare time to improve their teaching abilities. At the same time, we provide plenty of cultural workshops for foreign teachers to experience and learn more about traditional Chinese culture. By doing this, we hope the foreign teachers can have a wonderful work and life experience in BCU.
